Jennifer,  Front Desk

I worked in administration in general dentistry for eight years before deciding to make a change to orthodontics. I joined Dr. Nantz's team in 2006 and have worked at both the front desk and in the business office since that time. In addition to my front desk duties, I am also in charge of the ordering of our office supplies, and am always willing to take on other jobs that arise around the office. I like the fact that our staff is easy to get along with. This office has really become more like a second family! Married with two children, I love doing family activities. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and in my spare time I also like to run and am looking forward to skydiving!

Amanda , Orthodontic Assistant

I joined Dr. Nantz's practice upon completing my training at San Antonio College of Medical & Dental Assistants in 2005. In addition to my regular duties as an orthodontic assistant, my other responsibilities include making Tru-Tains and retainers, assisting with Invisalign cases, and I am charge of our sterilization monitoring and testing. When considering this career, I was told if I liked arts and crafts I would like this job and I have found that to be true. It's a lot of fun to work with my hands, combining art and science, and helping people get a great smile! In my spare time I am currently learning to crochet and also enjoy cooking and camping.

Deanna , Treatment Coordinator

I came to this practice in 2007 as a treatment coordinator after 25 years in dentistry and 10 years in orthodontics. A graduate of UT Austin with a degree in Economics, I also completed dental assisting school and worked as an assistant before becoming a treatment coordinator. I enjoy explaining things to our younger patients and I hope that they feel comfortable asking questions. I am excited to be working for Dr. Nantz because of his reputation and how he treats his patients. I am married with two children and two grandchildren. A native of San Antonio, I enjoy going there for Alamo City events like the Spurs games and Fiesta. I also enjoy kayaking, tubing, gardening, and I love to go zip lining!

Tracy , Office Manager

I have been with this practice since 1988. Having worked in most positions in the office over the years from administrative to chairside assisting, I have gained extensive knowledge of the inner workings of an orthodontic practice. Putting that knowledge to work, I have been serving as the office manager since 2007 and am also heavily involved in insurance, patient accounts, and marketing. If our patients have any questions about their financial arrangements, I am the one to ask! A native Texan, I am married with one child. In addition to enjoying outside activities from boating to snow skiing, I stay very active with family gatherings and activities, as well as with my son's sporting events.

Devin, Orthodontic Assistant

I joined Dr. Nantz's practice in 2011, 6 years after graduation with an Associates of Science and completing my dental assistant program at Truckee Meadows Community College.  I am a member of the Dental Assistant National Board and Texas Board of Dental Examiners.  I have always been interested in orthodontics.  Some of my duties here are to take impressions, make retainers, assist with Invisalign cases and other duties as needed.  I am Native American born and raised in Nevada but have come to love Texas as my new home living here for the past 4 years.  I'm married to a wonderful husband with whom we have two crazy dogs, Bo and Cody.  Children are in our future.  Outside of family and work, I enjoy kayaking, fishing, snowboarding, camping, spending time with family, Native American beadwork and taking my two crazy dogs to the river every chance I get.

Kim, Orthodontic Assistant

I have enjoyed becoming a part of the Nantz Orthodontics team, joining in March of 2011.  I have been working in orthodontics since 2000 and cannot imagine doing anything else.  My responsibilities here at Dr. Nantz's office include seeing patients, making retainers, and other clinical duties.  I currently hold my CPR certification and am registered a registered dental assistant with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners.  Outside of work, I enjoy live music, sporting events, riding my bike, and spending time with my friends and family.

Brittany, Orthodontic Assistant

 I joined Dr. Nantz's practice in the summer of 2011 after completing dental              assisting school.  I am a native Austinite who enjoys outside activities when            I have spare time.  I have two dogs Parker and Penny (who are more like kids)      and a "husband to be" .  The wedding will be in the summer of 2012.  In addition    to my regular duties as an orthodontic technician, my other responsibilities    include taking initial diagnostic records for our patients, which includes taking        x-rays and impressions.  I enjoy coming to work and especially love making our patients smile!
