My interest in the field of dentistry began in high school while observing in a family friend’s office. This is where I began to realize that a beautiful smile makes a big difference in a person’s life, and I wanted to be a part of that difference. Since then, I have had the opportunity to meet some truly wonderful people and have helped them obtain a beautiful smile and increased confidence. I want each patient to know that they are my number one priority, and that they will have my undivided attention during their appointment. My staff and I want each patient to have a great, memorable experience.
I received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. I then completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Texas, Houston, before earning my Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Orthodontic technology is upgraded every year. It is necessary to keep up with all of the improvements to be able to provide the best treatment for each patient. Over the last year I have been involved in the Invisalign study club, the American Association of Orthodontists’ annual meeting, and many other continuing education courses. I stay involve with the Texas Dental Association and the Capital Area Dental Society.
Prior to entering my orthodontic residency, I practiced general dentistry for three years. During this time, I gave back to the community by working with the VA, Indian Health Services, and UNLV faculty practice. I also have enjoyed serving as a dentist on international mission trips to Nicaragua and India.
In my spare time, you will catch me enjoying the Austin outdoors. If I’m not on the river or lake, you will most likely find me playing tennis, riding my bike or listening to live music. I thoroughly enjoy living here and being a part of this great community.
